PAU Gasol gained a new lease on his NBA career after signing a one-year deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported the development on Thursday, Manila time, saying the Spanish center inked a one-year $2.6 million contract with the Blazers.
Gasol -- a future Hall of Famer with a championship pedigree -- joins a loaded rotation that includes Whiteside and Collins and eventual return of Nurkic. https://t.co/3tkR0hGVj9— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 24, 2019
Gasol last played for the Milwaukee Bucks, where he signed after a buyout with the San Antonio Spurs last season. Gasol, though, suited up for the Bucks for only three games after a foot injury cut his stint short.
Now, the 39-year-old slotman is entering his 19th year in the NBA and is bolstering a Blazers frontline that already has Hassan Whiteside, Zach Collins, and Jusuf Nurkic.
