THE Los Angeles Clippers will be without a key player when scrimmages start as Patrick Beverley left the NBA bubble in Orlando to attend to family matters, according to the LA Times.
It is uncertain when Beverley can return to the Disney resort in Florida and when he can rejoin the Clippers, who are still also without Landry Shamet and Ivica Zubac.
The NBA bubble require players and staff who leave to again undergo quarantine before rejoining their units.
Scrimmages are set, with the Clippers facing the Orlando Magic on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time), Washington Wizards on Saturday and Sacramento Kings on Monday.
The Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans face off on July 30 in the first match of the NBA restart followed by the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers.
The Clippers are running second in the Western Conference behind the LA Lakers, and have secured a playoff spot.
The Clippers' other opponents in the seeding games are the Pelicans, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nugets and Oklahoma City Thunder
