THE Indiana Pacers spoiled a vintage showing from Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose in a come-from-behind win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, 106-102, on Friday (Saturday, Manila time).
Behind the new Cavs star backcourt, Cleveland stormed to a 19-5 start and led by as much as 19 in the first half. But the Pacers reserves, led by T.J Leaf, fought back soon as the Cleveland stars sat.
Trailing by eight heading into the fourth quarter, Leaf scored all of his 18 points in the period where the Pacers outscored the Cavs 28-16 to complete the rally and stay unbeaten in the preseason after two games.
Domantas Sabonis also added 17 points off the bench for Indiana, while Victor Oladipo chipped in 14.
Wade had a game-high 20 points on 10-of-14 shooting in 22 minutes, while Jae Crowder added 17 markers. Rose scored 15 in just 14 minutes, but the Cavs fell to 0-2 in the preseason. LeBron James still sat with an ankle injury.
