RUSSELL Westbrook matched the record set by Oscar Robertson for most triple-doubles in a single season in leading the Oklahoma City Thunder’s romp over the Milwaukee Bucks, 110-79, at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time).

Westbrook notched his 41st triple-double of the season, a record set by Robertson fifty five years ago, with 9:05 left in the third following his 10th rebound and assist coming in a matter of seconds to go with his 14 points as the Thunder was comfortably ahead, 69-42. The game was stopped momentarily to honor the feat and the OKC star waved to the crowd.

Still, Westbrook had a miserable shooting night in ending up with 12 points on a 4-of-12 clip from the field, 13 rebounds and 13 assists as he sat out the entire fourth quarter with the Thunder bench to as much as 39 points.

The Thunder (44-33), though, showed a balanced attack starting in the second quarter and coasted to victory the rest of the way to snap a two-game skid. Enes Kanter led six OKC players in double figures with 17 points off the bench.  Taj Gibson and Alex Abrines finished with 12 markers apiece, while Domantas Sabonis added 11.

Michael Beasley had 14 points to lead the Bucks (40-38), who have lost two in a row. Giannis Antetokounmpo added a double-double of 11 markers and 10 boards to go with three blocks.
