NIKOLA Vucevic had a season-high 30 points, while Elfrid Payton scored 19 points and issued seven assists as the Orlando Magic beat the Portland Trail Blazers, 115-109, to snap a four-game skid on Friday night (Saturday, Manila time).
Vucevic was 13 of 18 from the field and grabbed 10 rebounds while Payton sank a crucial 3-pointer as the Magic held off a late Portland rally.
Orlando went on a 16-1 start and led by as much as 17 in the opening quarter.
Serge Ibaka made 3 triples for a 13-point and 10-rebound performance. Reserve D.J. Augustin scored 15 points in 17 minutes while Jodie Meeks chipped in 12.
Damian Lillard had 34 points and eight rebounds for Portland which won its two previous games. C.J. McCollum finished with 26, extending his streak to eight consecutive games with at least 25 points.
