NIKOLA Mirotic scored 22 points, Jimmy Butler added 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Chicago Bulls defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 102-90, on Thursday (Friday, Manila time) for a much-needed win in its bid to enter the NBA playoffs.

Mirotic was 6-for-8 from downtown as Chicago (39-40) won for the seventh time in its last 10 games as it attempts to get out of a tie with Indiana at 7th place among Eastern Conference contenders, with idle Miami just half a game ahead.

The Bulls got help from Joffrey Lauvergne who finished with 14 points while Bobby Portis had 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

The Sixers fell to its fifth straight loss. They were led by Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot’s 18 points. Justin Anderson tallied 17 markers.
