Nikola Jokic continues fine play as Nuggets defeat shorthanded Clippers

NIKOLA Jokic had 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Denver Nuggets routed the undermanned Los Angeles Clippers, 123-98, on Saturday (Sunday, Manila time) in Denver.

Danilo Gallinari and Will Barton scored 18 points each for Denver, holding on to eighth spot in the Western Conference.

The Nuggets led as many as 35 points and outscored the Clippers in all four quarters.

Missing their stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin to injuries, the Clippers, currently fourth place in the West, never led in the game.

Marreese Speights had 18 points to lead the Clippers. Austin Rivers added 16 points while DeAndre Jordan had 14 points and 13 boards.

The Clippers absorbed their second straight defeat.
