Reserves shine as Willie Cauley Stein, Buddy Hield power Kings past Nuggets

WILLIE Cauley Stein delivered huge off the bench to power the Kings to a 116-100 rout of the Denver Nuggets on Thursday in Sacramento (Friday, Manila time).

The Kings took control in the second quarter and cruised to their 28th win in 58 games.

Cauley Stein came up with 29 points on 14 of 22 shooting, while fellow reserve Buddy Hield scored 16, making 6 of 10 field goal attempts.

Darren Collison had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings, who outscored the Nuggets 32-18 in the second period.

Gary Harris scored 23 points, hitting five triples for the Nuggets, who have lost 32 of 57 games.

Wilson Chandler had 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Will Barton added 16.
