Wizards shake off sluggish start to beat Bulls for third road win of season

JOHN Wall had 23 points, nine assists and three steals while Bradley Beal scored 21 points as the Washington Wizards defeated the Chicago Bulls 107-97 on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time) for its third road win of the season.

Marcin Gortat came up with 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Wizards (13-15), who fell behind early 22-33.

Marcus Thornton added 10 off the bench.

The score was 85-all with 8:56 left before Washington went on a 10-2 run. A jumper from Dwyane Wade made it 97-93 before Beal and Gortat scored on successive possessions that allowed the Wizards to pull away.

Jimmy Butler had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Chicago (14-14). Dwyane Wade added 19 markers,. Rajon Rondo dished out 10 assists but misfired 1-of-10 from the field.
