THE basketball world grieves the passing of Moses Malone, the cage great who leads the NBA in career offensive rebounds.

Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2001, the player who was given the moniker “Chairman of the Boards,” passed away on Sunday in Norfolk, Virginia.

Tributes poured in from fellow Hall of Famers, team executives and others in the sport for Malone, who jumped straight from high school to the ABA and went on to become one of the greatest in the NBA.
