Tyler Johnson shows way as Heat end Grizzlies' six-game win streak

TYLER Johnson had 20 points off the bench as the Miami Heat broke the Memphis Grizzlies’ six-game winning streak with a surprising 90-81 win on Friday (Saturday, Manila time).

The Heat (5-10) immediately went on a 17-8 run to start the game. Johnson scored 15 points in the first half where Miami's defense limited Memphis to 35.7 percent shooting from the field.

Memphis, which never led in the game, was down only by six at the half 39-45 before the Heat outscored them 26-18 in the third quarter.

Dion Waiters had 15 points and four assists for the Heat as it ended a two-game skid. James Johnson added 13 off the bench. Hassan Whiteside grabbed 12 rebounds, had two blocks to go with his four points.

Zach Randolph was granted indefinite leave by the Grizzlies after his mother passed away on Thanksgiving.  

Mike Conley had 16 points for the Grizzlies (10-6) which only saw one other player, JaMychal Green, score in double figures with 14.
