Warriors shake off sluggish start to clobber Kings for sixth straight win

THE Golden State Warriors toyed with the Sacramento Kings early before turning up the heat and easing to a 114-100 victory on Friday in Oakland (Saturday, Manila time).

The Kings managed to keep pace with the Warriors, but with the score tied at 20, the league-leaders went on a 7-0 run in the final two minutes of the first quarter to take control.

The Warriors made it six straight wins, notching their 57th victory in 71 outings.

Steph Curry scored 27 points on 9 of 18 shooting, including 5 of 11 from beyond the arc.

Draymond Green was the only other Golden State player to score in double-figures with 23 points on 8 of 17 shooting.

The Kings suffered their fourth straight loss and 45th in 72 games.

Buddy Hield scored 22, while Ty Lawson added 20 for Sacramento.
