Serge Ibaka shows way as Magic down Pistons and spoil Reggie Jackson's season debut

THE Orlando Magic took charge late in the second quarter and held on to beat the Pistons, 98-92, on Sunday in Detroit (Monday, Manila time).

Serge Ibaka scored 21 points for the Magic, who gained the lead with three minutes to play in the second period and maintained the lead en route to their second straight win and ninth in 21 games.

Nikola Vucevic had 16 points and Jeff Green scored 14 for the Magic, who scored a huge follow-up to their victory over the struggling Philadelphia 76ers.

The Magic ended the Pistons’ win streak at three and spoiled the return of Reggie Jackson, who came up with 18 points in his season debut after being out with a knee injury.

Marcu Morris scored 21 points for the Pistons, who absorbed their 11th loss in 22 games.
