Rodney Hood stars as Jazz crush Thunder in wire-to-wire victory

THE Utah Jazz started strong and never let up, cruising to a 109-89 rout of the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday in Salt Lake City (Thursday, Manila time).

Utah scored the game’s first seven points and was never threatened on the way to its second straight win and 16th in 26 games.

Rodney Hood scored 25 points on 9 of 14 shooting, while Gordon Hayward made seven of 14 field goal attempts and wound up with 17 points for Utah.

Rudy Gobert came up with his fifth straight double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds as the Jazz sent the Thunder to a second straight loss.

Russell Westbrook was a miserable 7 for 25 and wound up with 27 points with six rebounds and five assists.

Enes Kanter came off the bench to deliver 19 points in 18 minutes of action.
