THE monsoon rains didn’t stop Ricky Rubio from going around Manila on Friday during his Adidas Take On Manila Tour.

Despite the effects of typhoon Ineng being felt in Metro Manila, the Spanish guard went around Manila Manila, first at Rizal Park before visiting a basketball court on Anda Street in Intramuros.

The Minnesota Timberwolves guard was all smiles as he dribbled a basketball under the rain, wearing a hoodie, in front of the Rizal Monument.

Then Rubio joined fellow Adidas influencers led by Chris Tiu and celebrities Solenn Heusaff and Karylle in a free throw shooting contest in Intramuros.

He also took selfies with kids who climbed a basketball stanchion to get a glimpse of him, then posted the images on Instagram.

“Great time at Anda Street Basketball Court! Amazing fans in Manila, feeling so much love. Thanks for joining my #TakeOnManila experience! #RR9Tour @adidasph @adidashoops,” wrote Rubio on his Instagram account.

Rubio also had a short tour of the San Agustin Church with the Adidas influencers.
