THE Texas Legends took control early and eased to a 108-88 victory over the Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA D-League on Friday at the Dr. Pepper Arena in Frisco (Saturday, Manila time).

Fil-Am Ray Parks showed flashed of brilliance in his longest appearance in a D-League game so far, coming up with two steals and two points in 14 minutes of action for Texas.

The twice UAAP MVP seemed to focus more on defense, making one of just two attempts, and also registering a rebound and a turnover as the Legends scored their 11th victory in 20 outings.

Parks played 11 minutes in the Legends' 116-117 loss to the Oklahoma City Blue in their previous game.

Manny Harris, acquired in December in a trade with the LA D-Fenders for the returning player rights to former Alaska import Damion James, led the way for Texas with 27 points, while Brandon Ashley scored 16.

Jamil Wilson added 15 as the Legends handed the Warriors their 14th loss in 24 games.

Seldon-used Satnam Singh also got some playing time, the Indian giant going 1 for 2 from the field in eight minutes of action.

Daniel Nwaelele led Santa Cruz with 19 points.
