Pacers halt two-game slide with victory over Sixers but lose Al Jefferson to injury

THE Indiana Pacers ended a two-game skid with a 107-94 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers but lost Al Jefferson to an injury on Sunday in Indianapolis (Monday, Manila time).

Paul George led Indiana in scoring with 21 points, while Myles Turner came up with a huge double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds.

The Pacers scored their fifth win in the last 10 games and 37th victory against 36 losses.

Jefferson had 14 points and seven rebounds when he sprained his left ankle after a rebound play.

He is expected to be out for only a few days, according to coach Nate McMillan.

The Sixers, coming off a big win over the Chicago Bulls, suffered their third loss in the last four games.

Robert Covington scored 15 and Richaun Holmes had 11 points and 12 rebounds for Philadelphia, which has a 27-46 win-loss record.
