Spurs use balanced offense to end home skid at three with win over slumping Pistons

PAU Gasol led the way as the San Antonio Spurs downed the Detroit Pistons, 96-86, on Friday (Saturday, Manila time) to end a three-game home skid.

Gasol had a season-high 21 points and made six assists of the Spurs’ 24 assists.

Back after sitting out three games with a knee problem, Tony Parker made four of the Spurs’ assists and also scored seven points.

Kawhi Leonard scored 17 and LaMarcus Aldridge had a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds as San Antonio scored its sixth win in nine games.

The Pistons continued to slide, suffering their third straight game even as Andre Drummond came up with a huge double-double of 20 points and 17 rebounds.
