Magic snap three-game skid with narrow win over struggling Raptors

THE Orlando Magic took control in the second quarter and overcame a late rally by the Raptors, 114-113, on Sunday in Toronto (Monday, Manila time).

Back-to-back triples by Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic highlighted a run bridging the second and third periods that put the Magic in control.

Vucevic finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds as the Magic snapped a three-game skid.

DJ Augustin came off the bench to score 21 points on 7 of 10 shooting, while CJ Watson delivered 15 points, making 5 of 8 field goal attempts.

The Magic notched their 19th win in 49 games.

Toronto could not get a win run going after beating the Milwaukee Bucks and absorbed their sixth loss in the last seven games.

Kyle Lowry scored 33 points, including the triple with no time left for the final count.

DeMar DeRoza, back after three games out with a sprained right ankle, scored 22 points for Toronto, which absorbed its 19th loss in 48 outings.
