Batum, Zeller star as Hornets end Hawks' win streak at six

NICOLAS Batum and Cody Zeller showed the way as the Hornets stopped the streaking Atlanta Hawks, 100-96, on Friday in Charlotte (Saturday, Manila time).

Batum scored 24 on 8 of 17 shooting, while Zeller came up with 23 points in 31 minutes of action as the Hornets scored their second straight win.

The Hornets notched their seventh victory in 10 outings, while snapping the Hawks’ win run at six.

Paul Millsap scored 22 points and Kent Bazemore added 19 for the erstwhile Eastern Conference co-leader Hawks.

Dennis Schroder had 11 points on 5 of 12 shooting, while Dwight Howard went 4 fpr 9 and wound up with 10 points as the Hawks absorbed only their second loss in 11 outings.
