THE NBA has fined Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri US$25,000 for entering the playing court at halftime to verbally confront game officials during Game Three of the Eastern Conference semifinals between the Raptors and Cavaliers in Cleveland.

The penalty was announced on Sunday (Monday, Manila time) by NBA president for league operations Byron Spruell.

LeBron James hit the game-winner as the Cavaliers took a 3-0 series lead.

Coaching staff and players were furious after what had appeared to be a Serge Ibaka basket and potential free throw was downgraded to a foul with no basket and no free throw.
