MARC Gasol drilled the game-winner at the buzzer to lead the Memphis Grizzlies over the Denver Nuggets, 108-107, in a wild finish at theFedEx Forum on Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time)

With the Nuggets trailing 105-106 in the dying seconds, Emmanuel Mudiay knocked down a baseline jumper with seven seconds left to put Denver on top and the Grizzlies had a costly error on the next play. But Mike Conley stole a pass from Mike Miller, which allowed Memphis to set up Gasol’s game-winner off a pass from Vince Carter.

Memphis led by seven midway through the fourth quarter, 90-83, before Denver stormed back to take the lead, 105-103 on a Nikola Jokic jumper. Buta  James Ennis triple retake the advantage into the final two minutes, 106-105, before both teams traded misses and turnovers until Mudiay’s jumper.

Zach Randolph poured in eight of his 16 points off the bench in the final period while Denver saw three players each score seven in the final frame in Gary Harris, Mudiay and Jokic, only to be foiled by Gasol’s heroics.

Carter dropped 14 of his team-high 20 in the middle quarters to carry the fight for the Grizzlies in a see-saw battle with the Nuggets. Gasol added 19 markers while Conley and Andrew Harrison chipped in 10 apiece to help Memphis snap a two-game skid and improve to a 4-4 card.

Mudiay led all scorers with 23 points while Danilo Gallinari and Gary Harris added 21 and 15, respectively, but the Nuggets fell to 3-4.
