Mario Chalmers shows way as Grizzlies overcome Magic

MARIO Chalmers came off the bench and scored 19 points in 20 minutes of action as the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Orlando Magic, 92-84, on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time) in NBA preseason action.

Chalmers made 7 of 10 field goal attempts, while Jarell Martin went 7 for 8 and wound up with 16 points for Memphis in its preseason opener.

Jonatha Isaac led Orlando with 15 points, while Mario Hezonja added 12.

The Grizzlies next take on the Philadelphia 76ers, while the Magic face the Dallas Mavericks.
