LeBron James tees up Channing Frye for go-ahead triple as Cavs squeak past Raptors

CHANNING Frye sank a three-pointer off a LeBron James assist in the dying moments to lift the Cavaliers over the Toronto Raptors, 121-117, on Tuesday in Cleveland (Wednesday, Manila time).

Frye got the ball with 59 seconds left and hit the trey that gave back the lead to the Cavaliers, 117-115.

LeBron James hit a layup off a Kevin Love assist with 34 seconds remaining for more breathing room and the Cavaliers score their Eastern Conference best ninth win in 10 games.

Frye finished with 21 points on 7 of 10 shooting including 5 of 8 from beyond the arc.

James fell just a rebound short of a triple double with 28 points and 14 assists as the Cavaliers scored their second win over the Raptors this season.

It was the Cavaliers’ sixth win in seven home games.

Kyrie Irving scored 24, Kevin Love added 19 and Tristan Thompson had 15 points for Cleveland.

The Raptors suffered their first loss in four road games and third overall defeat in 10 outings.

Kyle Lowry had 28 points on 11 of 23 shooting while DeMar DeRozan scored 26, making 10 of 27 field goal attempts for Toronto.
