THE Cleveland Cavaliers have stopped the bleeding, but had to survive a huge scare from the Raptors before eking out a 116-112 victory on Monday in Toronto (Tuesday, Manila time).

LeBron James scored 34 points, and Kevin Love had a huge double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds as the Cavaliers arrested a three-game slide.

Kyrie Irving came up with 24 points as Cleveland notched its 14th win in 19 games.

The Cavaliers lost J.R. Smith early to injury, the guard hurting his left knee after a jump shot in the first quarter.

It was a huge victory for the Cavaliers after losses to the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers.

DeMar DeRozan had 31 points and Kyle Lowry was the only other Toronto starter to score in double figures with 24.

The bench players had solid contributions, though, with Terrence Ross scoring 21, Patrick Patterson 19, Cory Joseph coming up with 12 points and Lucas Nogueira adding 10.
