Celtics take control early and cruise to victory over Cavaliers

THE Celtics took control early and held on to get back at the Cleveland Cavaliers, 102-88, on Wednesday in Boston (Thursday, Manila time).

Backup guard Terry Rozier showed the way as the Celtics overpowered the Cavaliers, 32-21, in the first period and never looked back.

Boston notched its fourth straight win, while Cleveland suffered its fifth loss in the last seven games.

Rozier finished with 20 points, while Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart added 15 each

Kyrie Irving shot 5 for 14 and wound up with 11 points as the Celtics evened things with the Cavaliers, who won their first encounter this season.

LeBron James had 19 points, while Kyle Korver added 15 for Cleveland.
