Kobe Bryant given clearance to participate in all basketball related activities

HE started shooting on the court in early August, now Kobe Bryant is set to join the Lakers in training.

The former MVP and five-time NBA champion has been medically cleared on Thursday (Friday, Manila time) to take part in all basketball related activities, according to ESPN.

Bryant earlier announced on social media last month he was on the court shooting for the first time since shoulder surgery in January.

He was limited to 35 games last season but seems to have been rejuvenated in the offseason and had tweeted rookie D’Angelo Russell, the second overall pick in the draft, that he wants to get back on top this season.

Kobe Bryant is in the final year of his contract with the Lakers, but the 37-year-old star hasn’t officially declared it will be his last.

He has also spoken about a possible stint in the 2016 Rio Olympics
