KOBE Bryant seems to be getting more and more confident about the coming season, with the Lakers new acquisitions and probably an improving physical condition in the offseason.

The former MVP and five-time NBA champion tweeted No. 2 overall draft pick D’Angelo Russell, saying they’ll “shock da world this season.”

The tweet was also part of a lighthearted confrontation with the rookie, who after declaring that Kobe Bryant was his Michael Jordan while growing up, tweeted that the retired Tracy McGrady “might have been the GOAT.”

The Lakers were bottom of the Pacific Division last season with a 21-61 record, but Bryant had earlier declared the rebuilding Lakers can make it to the playoffs this season even as talks persist about a farewell tour.

The twice Olympic gold medalist is also reportedly even considering vying for a place in Team USA for the Rio de Janeiro Games in 2016.
