Kyrie Irving hits the big baskets in overtime as Cavaliers win nailbiter over Wizards

KYRIE Irving hit the go-ahead triple in overtime, lifting the Cleveland Cavaliers over the Wizards, 140-135, on Tuesday in Washington (Tuesday, Manila time).

The Cavaliers made it three straight wins, notching their 35th victory in 50 games.

Irving tied the game with a jumper and put the Cavaliers ahead in the next possession, 136-133, with a triple with 35 seconds left.

Kevin Love led the Cavaliers in scoring with 39 points, making 11 of 17 field goal attempts including 6 of 10 from beyond the arc, and also had 12 rebounds.

LeBron James had 32 points on 12 of 18 shooting.

Irving wound up with 23 points, while Tristan Thompson had a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Kyle Korver came off the bench to deliver 13 points, making four triples.

The Wizards saw their win streak end at seven.

Bradley Beal scored 41 points on 16 of 28 shooting, while Otto Porter had 25 points.

John Wall had a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds for Washington, which absorbed its 21st loss in 51 outings.
