Cavaliers make it three straight wins with 30-point rout of slumping Heat

THE Cavaliers took charge early and never let up, cruising to a 114-84 rout of the Miami Heat on Friday in Cleveland (Saturday, Manila time).

Kevin Love came up with a huge double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds as the Cavaliers made it three straight wins after three consecutive losses.

LeBron James had 27 points with eight assists and eight rebounds to help Cleveland notch its 16th win in 21 outings.

Kyrie Irving scored 23 points, making nine of 15 field goal attempts, for the Cavaliers, who went ahead 27-25 with two minutes left in the first quarter and never relinquished the lead.

Iman Shumpert was the only other Cavalier to score in double figures, coming off the bench to deliver 10 points.

The Cavaliers dealt the Heat their fourth straight loss and 16th in 23 games.

Reserve forward Derrick Williams led the Heat with 17 points, while Goran Dragic scored 15 on 4 of 11 shooting.

Hassan Whiteside had 12 rebounds but was held to eight points.
