Spurs overcome Jazz to get a new win run going after bowing to Warriors

THE Spurs made it back-to-back wins after bowing to the Golden State Warriors, beating the Utah Jazz, 109-103, on Sunday in San Antonio (Monday, Manila time).

Kawhi Leonard scored 25 points in 36 minutes of action as the Spurs improved their win-loss record to 59-17, still quite a distance from the Warriors (6-14) but well ahead of the third-running Houston Rockets (52-25) in the Western Conference.

Tony Parker scored 21on 7 of 15 shooting and made five assists for San Antonio.

The Jazz suffered their 30th loss in 77 games and sit in fourth, ahead of the LA Clippers (47-31).

Rudy Gobert had 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Boris Diaw also scored 19 for Utah.
