Spurs bounce back and send Blazers to fifth straight loss

THE San Antonio Spurs got right back on the winning track, whipping the Trail Blazers, 110-90, on Friday in Portland (Saturday, Manila time).

Kawhi Leonard scored 33 points on 9 of 15 shooting as the Spurs bounced back from a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

LaMarcus Aldridge delivered a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Patty Mills came off the bench to score 23 in 28 minutes of action for the Spurs, who have scored 24 wins in 30 outings.

Jonathon Simmons was the only other player to score in double digits for San Antonio with 10.

The Blazers absorbed their fifth straight loss and 19th in 22 games.

Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and reserve forward Meyers Leonard scored 16 points each for Portland, while Allen Crabbe had 10 points in 30 minutes of action.
