Kawhi Leonard hits game-winner as Spurs get by struggling Wizards

KAWHI Leonard hit a 20-foot jumper off a Manu Ginobili assist with six seconds left to lift the Spurs to a 107-105 victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday in San Antonio (Saturday, Manila time).

It was the Spurs’ second straight win and 16th in 20 games.

Leonard finished with 23 points, making 8 of 14 field goal attempts.

LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol scored 19 points each for the Spurs.

The Wizards absorbed their second straight loss and 12th in 18 games.

The Spurs trailed by three at the half but outplayed the Wizards in the third, 23-14.

Bradley Beal scored 23, making 7 of 11 field goal attempts including 5 for 5 from beyond the arc, for the Wizards.

Marcin Gortat came up with 21 points and John Wall scored 17.
