Spurs squander double-digit lead in fourth but recover to beat Grizzlies in overtime

THE Spurs wasted a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter and needed to rally late to beat the Memphis Grizzlies in overtime, 95-89, on Tuesday in San Antonio (Wednesday, Manila time).

Kawhi Leonard showed the way for the Spurs, who led 73-62 but saw themselves behind by one with a minute and a half to go in regulation.

San Antonio notched its third straight win and 60th in 77 outings, firmly in second in the Western Conference.

Leonard wound up with 32 points and 12 rebounds, while LaMarcus Aldridge scored 15 points on 6 of 12 shooting.

The Grizzlies absorbed their second straight loss and 36th in 78 games, seventh in the West.

Zach Randolph came off the bench to deliver a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds for Memphis.

Mike Conley scored 19, while Marc Gasol had 11 points and seven assists.
