WITH his fans working overtime to vote him in as a starter, Jordan Clarkson repaid the favor with a short video thanking the overflowing support from the Philippines and Filipinos around the world even as he continued his call for more votes in the 2017 NBA All-Star Game balloting.

“Appreciate all the Jordan Clarkson #NBAVote support from (Filipino) fans (and Minxy) around the world!” Clarkson wrote on the caption of his tweet on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).

Minxy 'the Filipino Frenchie,' the Los Angeles Lakers guard's cute French Bulldog, opens the 24-secound clip with a note introducing a special message from 'his' friend Clarkson.

"Thank you so much for all your votes. I’m so humbled. Please keep tweeting and hashtagging  #NBAVOTE JORDAN CLARKSON," said the 24-year old swingman whose mother Annette Davis is of half Filipino descent and hails from Angeles, Pampanga.

“Salamat, salamat po. Mahal ko kayo,” added Clarkson who said he would be proud to represent the Philippines in the All-Star Game in an earlier tweet.

In his third year with the Lakers, Clarkson is currently averaging 13.17 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists off the Lakers.

For this year, fan voting for starters of the annual showcase will comprise 50 percent while 25 percent will come from NBA players and the other 25 from media covering the league. Voting ends on January 19 (January 20, Manila time).

The seven reserves for the East and West will be picked by the coaches.
