JORDAN is in town.

Not Michael but Jordan Clarkson, who has become popular among local fans after becoming just the second basketball player  with Filipino blood - and the first in 33 years - to play in the NBA.

Clarkson, coming off an outstanding freshman season with the Los Angeles Lakers, arrived on Tuesday afternoon for a series of appearances with Trey Burke and former Chicago Bulls forward Horace Grant.

The Fil-American guard is set to attend a viewing party for Games Two and Three of the Eastern Conference finals between Golden State and the Houston Rockets on Friday and Sunday.

Clarkson, Burke, and Grant, will also conduct an NBA Cares basketball clinic for 60 underprivileged local youth from Project Pearls and make an appearance at the NBA Store on Saturday.

Taken at 46th overall in the last NBA rookie draft, Clarkson starting 38 games for the injury-hit Lakers and averaged 15.8 points, five assists and 4.2 rebounds as a starter, including a season-best high of 30 points and 7 assists in a 102–117 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder last March 24.

He was later rewarded with a spot in the NBA All-Rookie First Team alongside Andrew Wiggins.
