Wizards take early double-digit lead and hold off Magic for first road win

THE Washington Wizards used a strong start and held off the skidding Magic, 94-91, on Friday in Orlando (Saturday, Manila time) for its first road win of the season.

John Wall scored 25 points and Otto Porter added 19 as the Wizards finally scored a win on the road after five losses.

The Wizards outscored the Magic 26-14 in the first half and held on for the win, only their fifth in 14 outings.

The three other Wizards starters scored in double figures, with Bradley Beal adding 14, Marcin Gortat chipping in with 12 and Markieff Morris coming up with 11.

The Magic suffered their third straight loss and 10th in 16 games.

Serge Ibaka scored 19 and Nikola Vucevic added 17 for Orlando.
