Wizards rally to send Hornets to third straight loss

THE Wizards fought back from a double-digit deficit in the third to defeat the Charlotte Hornets, 109-106, on Wednesday in Washington (Thursday, Manila time).

John Wall scored 25 points, Bradley Beall added 20 and the rest of the starters also delivered double-digit scores as the Wizards notched their 10th win in 24 games.

Marcin Gortat scored 16, Kelly Oubre had 15 points and Otto Porter chipped in with 10 for Washington, which trailed 56-66 with eight minutes to play in the third.

The Hornets absorbed their third straight loss and 12th in 26 outings.

Nicolas Batum scored 20 points and Cody Zeller added 18 for Charlotte.
