Celtics remain unbeaten in 10 playoff games at home, take East finals lead with Game 5 rout of Cavs

THE Celtics took control early and held on for a 96-83 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game Five of the Eastern Conference finals on Wednesday in Boston (Thursday, Manila time).

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown showed the way as the Celtics dominated the first quarter, 32-19, and never looked back, taking a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Tatum scored 24 and Brown added 17 for the Celtics, who are now 10-0 at home in the playoffs.

The second-seeded Celtics look to finish off the No. 4 Cavaliers on Friday in Cleveland.
