JAMES Harden scored 18 points and made 16 assists as the Rockets sent the Dallas Mavericks crashing back to earth, 109-87, on Saturday in Houston (Sunday, Manila time).

Eric Gordon scored 18 points off the bench as the Rockets notched their sixth straight win and 17th in 24 games.

The Rockets had six players score in double figures. Houston hit 19 of 37 shots from downtown and shot .500 overall from the field.

Trevor Ariza had 17 points and seven rebounds, while Patrick Beverley was 4-for-6 from three-point range and finished with 15 points.

Clint Capela added 13 points and 10 rebounds as the Rockets downed the Mavericks, who were coming off a big win over the Indiana Pacers.

Wesley Matthews led Dallas with 26 points. Harrison Barnes added 20 for the Mavericks, bottom of the West standings at 5-17.
