Houston Rockets take control early and cruise to victory over Orlando Magic

THE Rockets held the Orlando Magic without a field goal in a six minute stretch in the first half and cruised to a 128-104 victory on Tuesday in Houston (Wednesday, Manila time).

Houston broke open a tight game with a string second quarter, moving from a tie at 28 to a 52-32 lead and was never threatened.

James Harden scored 25 points and made 13 assists as the Rockets recorded their second straight win and 38th in 55 games.

Trevor Ariza came up with 20 points on 7 of 15 shooting, while Eric Gordon came off the bench to deliver 18 points, making four triples.

The Magic absorbed their second straight loss and 24th in 54 games.

Serge Ibaka had 28 points, making 13 of 20 field goal attempts, while Evan Fournier scored 21.

Nikola Vucevic had a double-double of 14 points and 19 rebounds.
