James Harden scores 40 as Rockets down Suns for fourth straight win

JAMES Harden had 40 points, eight assists and six rebounds in three quarters as the Rockets scored its 40th win of the season at the expense of the short-handed Phoenix Suns, 133-102, on Saturday in Houston (Sunday, Manila time).   

Houston scored 77 points in the first two quarters for a 26-point halftime lead and continued to push with a 14-3 run in the third period.  

Harden made three 3-pointers in the third quarter before being pulled out of the game.

Patrick Beverley had 19 points and 10 rebounds, Ryan Anderson added 14 for Houston which never trailed and won its fourth straight. Sam Dekker scored 14 off the bench.  

The Suns did not have starters Eric Bledsoe and Tyson Chandler. Devin Booker led with 18 points in their ninth los in 11 games.
