Isaiah Thomas leads fourth quarter surge as Celtics get back on track with win over Wizards

ISAIAH Thomas scored 20 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter as the Celtics defeated the Washington Wizards, 117-108, on Wednesday in Boston (Thursday, Manila time).

The Celtics took control in the endgame after a three tight quarters, with Thomas hitting three triples in the fourth.

Thomas went 14 for 29 in 38 minutes of action as the Celtics got back on track after a loss to the Toronto Raptors.

Jae Crowder scored 20 on 7 of 10 shooting, while Al Horford had 16 points and was a rebound short of a double-double as Boston notched its 24th win against 15 losses.

The Wizards saw their win streak end at three and now hold an even 19-19 record.

Bradley Beal had 35 points on 13 of 26 shooting, while Otto Porter scored 20 for Washington.

John Wall had only nine points on a miserable 4 of 21 shooting.
