Celtics arrest three-game slide and send Hornets to fourth straight loss

THE Celtics ended a three-game skid and sent the Charlotte Hornets to their fourth straight loss, 96-88, on Friday in Boston (Saturday, Manila time).

Isaiah Thomas scored 26 points as the Celtics notched their 14th win in 26 games.

The Celtics fought back from a 12-point deficit in the third, outscoring the Kemba Walker-less Hornets in the second half 55-38.

Al Horford had 18 points, while Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder had 12 points each for Boston.

Walker was out for personal reasons, and the Hornets absorbed their 13th loss in 27 games.

Nicolas Batum had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds with five assists and three steals, while Ramon Sessions had 13 points.

Marco Belinelli and Jeremy Lamb came off the bench to score 11 and 10, respectively.
