Lowly Heat stun Rockets and spoil Harden’s 40-point triple-double outing

THE Heat ended a four-game slide, downing the Houston Rockets, 109-103, and spoiling another big performance by James Harden on Tuesday in Miami (Wednesday, Manila time).

The Heat held the Rockets scoreless in a two-minute stretch in the fourth, taking control 99-91 en route to only their 12th win in 42 outings.

Goran Dragic scored 21 points for the Heat, while reserves Wayne Ellington and Tyler Johnson delivered 18 and 16 points, respectively.

Hassan Whiteside had a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds.

James Harden had 40 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, his 13th triple-double and fourth 40-point triple-double of the season.

The Rockets absorbed their 12th loss in 44 games.

Montrezl Harrell came off the bench to deliver 13 points for Houston.
