MICK Pennisi may have found his toughest challenger for the worst flop in basketball title in Oregon forward Dillon Brooks.

The 21-year-old Brooks of the Oregon Ducks made the news for the wrong reason, a video of his flopping incident against Utah on Thursday (Friday, Manila time) going viral.

Brooks was defending Utah’s Sedrick Barefield, who appeared to give a slight push on the drive but got the foul called on the Oregon defender.

But what happened next rocked the basketball world, when Brooks suddenly threw himself backwards while flailing his arms up in the air. And for dramatic effect, Brooks propelled himself to the floor using his left leg in a controlled dive--all after a short pause and with Barefield barely touching him.

For his fine performance, Brooks didn't get the call his way and was rewarded with boos from the crowd.

Still, Brooks got the last laugh as he scored 19 points in their 73-67 road win. He was also a good sport in retweeting several references and memes of his gaff and posting the video himself on his Instagram account. Watch it here:
