Devin Booker hits triple in dying moments to lift Suns over Knicks

DEVIN Booker scored 26 points and delivered the game-wining three pointer as the Phoenix Suns defeated the slumping New York Knicks 107-105 to spoil solid performances from Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose at Madison Square Garden on Saturday (Sunday, Manila time).

The Knicks were up 105-104 when Booker drilled in the triple with 31 seconds remaining.

With six seconds left, New York had a chance to win the game but Carmelo Anthony, who had made all five of his previous 3-point shots, missed his attempt from downtown as the ball rolled off the rim.

The Suns had a 61-55 halftime advantage before the Kristaps Porzingis led the Knicks in a rally to tie the game 90-all to start the last period.

Eric Bledsoe added 23 points for the Suns who snapped a two-game skid and are last place in the West. Marquese Chriss and P.J. Tucker each added 15 points.

Anthony finished with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists while Rose had 26 points. Porzingis added 14 markers.

The Knicks have lost 7 of their last 10 games and their last two.
