DERON Williams has left the Mavericks and is looking to move to the Cavaliers, according to reports.

The Mavericks and Williams have apparently agreed to a buyout on Thursday (Friday, Manila time) and the point guard is expecting to join the Cavaliers.

Cleveland had been looking to fill the void at the point guard spot, and could make a move for Williams, although reports say the Utah Jazz and Atlanta Hawks may also be interested.

LeBron James had been calling on Cavaliers management to find a veteran playmaker.

Behind Kyrie Irving, 5-foot-9 rookie Kay Felder is the only other legitimate point guard on the Cavaliers bench, with shooting guard Iman Shumpert taking most of the minutes backing up Irving to run the point.

The 32-year-old Williams is averaging 13.1 points and 6.9 assists in 29 minutes with Dallas.
