WILSON Chandler and Kenneth Faried posted season-high outings in Denver’s wire-to-wire romp over Phoenix, 120-104, as the Nuggets scored their first win of the season in their Pepsi Center floor to end a four-game slide on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time).

Chandler had a season-best 28 points off the bench while Faried finished with his highest scoring output so far in the year with 20 to go with 15 rebounds in a match the Nuggets never trailed.

Denver zoomed to an early double digit lead with a pair of 8-0 runs in the first quarter and led by as much as 20, 63-43, in the third period. But Brandon Knight, who also had a season-high 32 points off the bench, rallied the Suns in the fourth to trim the gap down to seven, 93-100, with 6:18 remaining. Faried and Emmanuel Mudiay each scored four points in the closing 20-11 run to help Denver seal the victory.

Danilo Gallinari added 18 points for the Nuggets, who improved to 4-7, while the starting backcourt of Jameer Nelson and Mudiay had 17 and 15 markers, respectively.

Knight scored 10 of his total points in the fourth period but was not enough to prevent the Suns from losing their fourth straight game and falling to 3-9. Devin Booker added 24 markers while Leandro Barbosa chipped in 12.
