DeMar DeRozan continues torrid scoring stretch, drops 40 as Raptors keep Wizards winless

DEMAR DeRozan came up with another huge performance, registering 40 points to tie a franchise record for scoring as the Toronto Raptors downed the winless Wizards, 113-103, on Wednesday in Washington (Thursday, Manila time).

It was the fourth straight game that DeRozan scored over 30 points, matching Mike James’ feat in 2006.

The Raptors have won three of four matches, with DeRozan scoring 40 against the Detroit Pistons, 32 in a loss to the champions Cleveland Cavaliers, and 33 against the Denver Nuggets.

DeRozan plays 37 minutes, going 14 for 23.

John Wall had a huge double-double of 33 points and 11 assists, but the Wizards remained winless in three games.

Wall played 37 minutes, making 13 of 19 field goal attempts.

Otto Porter scored 23 points on 11 of 13 shooting, while Bradley Beal added 15.
